Here are a few essential notes to get you started:
1. Member Area Tour
The Member Area navigation is where you will find quick and convenient access to opportunities and resources, as well as easy access to Decisions Course Participant Materials. If this is your first time logging in, you might want to take a few minutes, click around, and explore the member area.
2. Gain Access to Resources
Don’t have access to an area? This could be for one of two reasons, the first reason might be because you have not signed up or registered for the associated opportunity or course. That is an easy fix, register and get access to all of the learning, materials, and resources associated with that opportunity or course. The second could be by mistake. Some of the access levels will be adjusted manually and we might just need to update yours. If that is the case please contact support to get set up.
3. Request Support
Finally, remember: support questions and requests will be answered on our support page, this will help us to stay organized and answer your questions as quickly as possible. Please use the form here for any and all support questions.

Adoption and Foster Care Decisions Course
This interactive 3-week course equips you to make careful and wise decisions about whether to foster and adopt, and what path will fit your family best. Along with learning the challenges, you will be encouraged to remember the possibility of encountering joy, and the unexpected beauty of a growing relationship with a child.
We walk through the costs, requirements, and processes for adoption and foster care, including home study, training, and compliance with domestic and international regulations. We’ve also worked to create a space for the “heart work” that we believe is essential for successful placement. To that end, we’ve filmed interviews with foster and adoptive parents and foster alumni, and incorporated compassion-building exercises throughout the course. Recognizing the transformative power of story, we’ve worked to create multiple opportunities for the you to consider the experiences of others.
OUR GOAL IS TO COVER EACH CHILD IN STATE CARE WITHIN THE GREATER HOUSTON AREA IN PRAYER.
There is no substitute for giving time for our kids.
There is no substitute for giving time to the practice of prayer.
God knows the specific needs of each of these children. And the Foster Children Prayer Initiative gives a way to partner our prayers with God’s heart for the 5500 children in foster care within greater Houston. This is probably the most foundational way we can contribute and make a difference for foster and adoptive children, whether we bring them into our families or make it possible for others to welcome them into their families.
Congregations Caring For Their Communities
Our faith traditions may use different words, but the message is clear – people of faith will care for children who are in need of a home. Not everyone is meant to bring a child they did not birth into their home … but everyone can do something. Which is good news!
We believe when congregations are inspired and equipped to be with foster and adoptive families every child is cared for, every family has hope, congregations are strengthened, and communities are healthier and safer.
